SISIS, part of the Howardson Group, returned to BTME 2026 (20th–22nd January) with a focused portfolio of professional turf maintenance machinery, welcoming visitors to Stand 252 across three busy days at Harrogate. With greenkeepers and turf professionals looking ahead to the season, the emphasis was firmly on practical solutions that deliver consistent playing conditions while supporting long-term turf health.

Built around durability, serviceability and dependable performance, the SISIS range on display highlighted how modern maintenance practices can balance playability with effective agronomic results.

Multislit: In-Season Aeration Without Disruption

A key talking point on the stand was the SISIS Multislit, offering a proven alternative to traditional hollow tining. Using narrow blades to create clean, vertical slits, Multislit improves water infiltration, gas exchange and root development while causing minimal surface disturbance.
Unlike hollow tining, which removes material and can interrupt play, Multislit aeration allows greenkeepers to maintain surface performance during the playing season. Its speed and low-impact operation make it an ideal in-season solution for courses aiming to enhance soil structure without compromising presentation.

Triplay with Fine Grooming Raes: Efficient Single-Pass Maintenance

The SISIS Triplay drew strong interest from those seeking greater efficiency in routine maintenance. Designed as a single-pass system, it helps improve surface quality on golf fairways and other large turf areas. The unit can be tractor-mounted via three-point linkage or fitted to utility vehicles using the appropriate frame, making it versatile across both natural turf and hard porous surfaces.
Equipped with Fine Grooming Rakes, the Triplay uses 5mm spring tines to lift grasses, enhance presentation and manage thatch. It also helps create a tilth in worn areas, delivering effective grooming with minimal surface disruption.

Flexibrush: Fast, Consistent Brushing on Large Areas

For large turf areas such as fairways and sports grounds, the Flexibrush demonstrated its value in fast, effective brushing. Ideal for brushing in topdressings, dispersing dew and lifting grasses before mowing, it supports a clean, uniform finish.
Floating brush sections allow accurate contour following, while hydraulically folding outer sections make transport and storage straightforward - features that resonated with operators managing expansive sites.

Rotorake TM1000: Reliable Thatch Control and Renovation

The Rotorake TM1000 also featured prominently. This tractor-mounted scarifier and linear aerator is engineered for efficient thatch control and surface preparation. Floating units follow ground contours for consistent working depth, while the contra-rotating reel throws debris forward to leave a clean, even finish.
With interchangeable reels and simple depth adjustment, the TM1000 remains a dependable option for renovation programmes across fine turf surfaces.

Javelin Aer-Aid: Targeted Compaction Relief

Completing the line-up, the Javelin Aer-Aid offered a compact, robust aeration solution for fine turf areas such as greens and tees. Designed to relieve surface compaction and improve air and moisture movement, it supports stronger root development and more consistent playing performance.

Throughout the exhibition, the SISIS team provided practical guidance to visitors facing a range of turf challenges, reinforcing the brand’s focus on real-world results and long-term relationships with turf professionals.

Darren McMahon, Marketing Manager at Howardson Group, said:
“BTME is always a valuable opportunity for us to speak directly with greenkeepers and course managers about the challenges they’re facing. This year, the conversations focused heavily on maintaining playability while still delivering essential agronomic work. The response to machines like the Multislit, Triplay and Javelin Aer-Aid shows the importance of equipment that combines efficiency with minimal surface disruption and it was great to demonstrate how SISIS continues to support that balance across all areas of fine turf maintenance.”

Greenkeepers who were unable to attend can still learn more or arrange a no-obligation demonstration by contacting SISIS on 01332 824 777 or visiting www.sisis.com
